THERMAL STRESSES IN PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BRIDGES /IN GERMAN/

THE RESULTS OF TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE IN CROSS SECTIONS OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BRIDGES ARE PRESENTED. FROM THE DAILY FLUCTUATIONS IN TEMPERATURE AS THEY OCCUR IN A HIGHWAY BRIDGE BRIDGE WITH BITUMINOUS COATING, THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN TEMPERATURE BETWEEN THE UPPER PART OF BRIDGE PLATE AND THE WEB OF THE HOLLOW SECTION IS DETERMINED. CALCULATIONS OF CORRESPONDING RESIDUAL STRESSES SHOW THAT THE LATTER GREATLY EXCEED EXPECTED VALUES AND, IN SOME SECTIONS, HAVE A GREATER EFFECT ON THE INFLUENCE OF LIVE LOADS. /TRRL/
