ULTRASONIC FLOWMETER
EXPERIENCE WITH THE 'SING-AROUND' FLOWMETER IS GIVEN. MEASUREMENT IS BASED ON THE PERIOD OF A CLOSED LOOP SET UP BETWEEN ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER AND RECEIVER. THE SYSTEM WAS CALIBRATED AGAINST RECTANGULAR NOTCH DISCHARGE MEASUREMENT. A TEST IN A DRAINAGE CHANNEL GAVE RESULTS COMPARING FAVORABLY WITH MEASUREMENTS OBTAINED WITH A CUP-TYPE (PRICE) CURRENT METER.
