PRESTRESS LOSS AND CAMBER IN HIGHWAY BRIDGE BEAMS
THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED FROM A STUDY OF FULL-SIZED, PRETENSIONED, PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BRIDGE BEAMS, OF BOTH NORMAL-WEIGHT AND LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE, IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD TO PREDICT CREEP STRAINS, PRESTRESS LOSSES, AND BEAM CAMBER. THE BEAMS, IN STORAGE DURING THE 300-DAY PERIOD OF THE STUDY, WERE FABRICATED FOR AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY BRIDGE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. THEY WERE LOADED ONLY WITH THEIR OWN DEAD WEIGHT DURING THE STUDY. DATA IN THE FORM OF CURVES AND TABLES ARE PRESENTED. /AUTHOR/
