REPETITIVE DYNAMIC LOADING ON PRETENSIONED PRESTRESSED BEAMS
EIGHT PRETENSIONED CONCRETE BEAMS WERE SUBJECTED TO REPETITIONS OF HIGHLY IMPULSIVE LOAD UNTIL THE OCCURRENCE OF A COMPRESSIVE FAILURE. THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS OF THE DYNAMIC LOAD VARIED FROM FIVE TO SEVEN. THE RESULTS OF THIS STUDY INDICATED THAT THE CALCULATED ULTIMATE STATIC LOAD IS A SATISFACTORY DESIGN CRITERION FOR A BEAM SUBJECTED TO A LOW NUMBER OF BLAST-TYPE LOADINGS. BOND FAILURE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A CRITICAL FACTOR. (ACIJP)
