MOMENT-DEFORMATION CHARACTERISTICS OF PRETENSIONED CONCRETE BEAMS SUBJECT TO FLUCTUATING LOADS
THE RESULTS OF TESTS ON EIGHT RECTANGULAR PRETENSIONED CONCRETE BEAMS ARE PRESENTED. THE BEAMS REPRESENT UNDER- REINFORCED, OVER-REINFORCED AND BALANCED DESIGN CASES. FIVE BEAMS WERE SUBJECTED TO CYCLIC LOADING; THE REMAINDER WERE SUBJECTED TO STATICALLY INCREASING LOAD UNTIL FAILURE. AN OUTLINE OF AN ANALYTICAL PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN THE ENVELOPE AND UNLOADING AND RELOADING CHARACTERISTICS IS PRESENTED. /PCIJ/
