THE EFFECT OF STRAND SURFACE ROUGHNESS WAS DETERMINED BY MEASUREING BOND TRANSFER LENGTHS ON TEST MEMBERS CONTAINING CLEAN, PARTIALLY RUSTED, RUSTED OR EXPERIMENTALLY DEFORMED STRAND. IMPROVEMENT IN TRANSFER LENGTH AND ULTIMATE FLEXURAL STRENGTH WAS ACHIEVED BY UTILIZING RUSTED AND DEFORMED STRAND. /PCIJ/
