THE THEORY OF STABILIZATION IS ANALYSED INSOFAR AS IT AFFECTS THE SOIL-LIME PROCESS. DIFFERENT SOILS ARE IDENTIFIED, THE STABILIZATION METHOD IS STUDIED FOR A PARTICULAR TYPE AND PERCENTAGE OF LIME, AND COMPRESSION STRENGTH IS OBTAINED FOR SAMPLES COMPACTED UNDER DIFFERENT PRESSURES, CURING REGIMES, TEMPERATURES AND CONDITIONS. THE AIM OF THE STUDY IS TO FORM THE BASIS FOR A REVISION OF CURRENT STANDARDS IN THE FIELD OF THE STABILIZATION OF SOIL WITH LIME.
