POSSIBILITY OF DETERMINING FAILURE VALUES ON MODELS
VOZMOZHNOST' OPREDELENIYA ZNACHENIJ FUNKTSII NARUSHENIYA NA MODELYAKH
DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS ALLOWS FAILURE TO BE USED AS A SIMILITUDE CRITERION IF CONSIDERED AS A DIMENSIONLESS VALUE. FAILURE VALUES CAN THEREFORE BE DETERMINED ON MODELS. STUDIES CONDUCTED WITH NATURAL AND SYNTHETIC MATERIALS CONFIRM THIS CONCLUSION. EXPERIENCE SHOWS THAT PHYSICAL MODELS MUST VERIFY THE GEOMETRIC AND QUALITATIVE SIMILITUDE CONDITIONS OF THE MATERIALS STUDIED.
