HYDROLOGIE QUANTITATIVE ET URBAINE

URBAN DEVELOPMENT PHENOMENA OBSERVED AT THE PRESENT TIME LEAD TO THE EXAMINATION OF THE HYDRAULIC BEHAVIOUR OF DRAINAGE NETWORKS AND INTEGRATED STRUCTURES. CURRENT STUDIES OF LARGE EXPERIMENTAL CATCHMENT AREAS HELP TO OBTAIN A BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF THESE PHENOMENA. THOSE STUDIES CONCERN THE 4 FOLLOWING AREAS: (1) CATCHMENT AREAS, NETWORKS AND PONDS. THE RESPONSE OF COLLECTORS FOR A GIVEN FLOW AND NOTION OF ROUGHNESS WILL BE DEFINED FROM FULL-SCALE TESTS. (2) APPLIED HYDRAULICS: MEASUREMENTS, DESIGN OF STRUCTURES: ABRASION OF STEEPLY SLOPING PIPES (SLOPE >5%) WILL BE STUDIED; A WEAR TEST WILL BE DEFINED. (3) ARCHIVING, PROCESSING OF DATA, SIMULATION MODELS. (4) STUDY OF LARGE EXPERIMENTAL URBANIZED CATCHMENT AREAS: THE PRECEDING THEMES JUSTIFY RESEARCH ON RUN-OFF AND RAINFALL PARAMETERS. THIS RESEARCH PROJECT SUPERSEDES IRRD RESEARCH PROJECT 500605.
