THE IDENTICAL MATHEMATICAL DESCRIPTION BASED ON THE ANALOGY OF MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL OSCILLATION-SYSTEMS PERMITS THE TRANSPOSE OF THE WELL PROVED METHODS DEVELOPED IN ELECTROTECHNICS TO MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. BY THIS WAY THE INVESTIGATIONS ON THE PROPERTIES OF SUSPENSION BRIDGE SYSTEMS COULD BE REDUCED TO MEASUREMENTS ON LABORATORY MODELS. IN CONNECTION WITH THE INVESTIGATIONS ON THE ELISABETH BRIDGE SYSTEMS THIS PAPER DEALS WITH THE CHOICE OF THE DYNAMIC MODELS, THEIR CONSTRUCTION AND GIVES LATER EXAMPLES OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED. THESE THEORETICAL RESULTS COULD BE VERIFIED BY SITE INVESTIGATIONS AND MEASUREMENTS ON THE ERECTED ACTUAL SYSTEM. /RRL/A/
