A THREE SPAN DESIGN WITH SPANS OF 27 M, 46 M AND 27 M TOTALLING 100 M PROVED ITSELF, IN SPITE OF THE DEEP FOUNDATIONS NECESSARY FOR THE PIERS, AS THE MOST ECONOMICAL SOLUTION. THE END SPANS OF THE ARCHED T-BEAMS WERE CONSTRUCTED ON FALSEWORK, THE CENTRAL SPAN BY THE CANTILEVER METHOD. THE ROUND COLUMNS ARE CONTINUED UNDER THE BED OF THE RIVER AS LARGE DIAMETER BORED PILES.
