THE QUANTITIES DETERMINED WOULD ENABLE THE NECESSARY CRITERIA FOR THE LOADS TO BE INTRODUCED INTO THE EQUATION TO BE DERIVED. ALL THE PARAMETERS RELATED TO THE VEHICLE MOVEMENTS, ALL THE BASIC PARAMETERS OF THE VEHICLE ITSELF, AND ALL THE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROAD SURFACING ARE TO BE USED FOR DETERMINING THE DYNAMIC WHEEL LOADS. BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY OF THE PROBLEM, THE NUMERICAL DATA CANNOT BE OBTAINED FROM THE CLOSED SOLUTIONS, BUT BY MEANS OF PROGRAMMING. GIVEN THE IDEALIZATION NECESSARY AT PRESENT FOR ROAD DESIGN, THERE SEEMS TO BE AN URGENT NEED FOR A BASIC CLARIFICATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF ALL PARAMETERS ON THE COURSE OF LOADING CAUSED BY THE PASSING OF EXTREMELY HEAVY VEHICLES.
