A THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRESS DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM IN THE ANCHORAGE ZONE OF A POST-TENSIONED CONCRETE BEAM
A THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION WAS CONDUCTED TO DETERMINE THE STRESS DISTRIBUTION IN THE ANCHORAGE ZONE OF A POST- TENSIONED PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BEAM. THE PROBLEM WAS IDEALIZED AS THAT OF A CIRCULAR CONCRETE BEAM WITH A CO- AXIAL CABLE DUCT DUE TO THE APPLICATION OF A CIRCULAR CONCENTRATED LOAD AT ONE OF ITS ENDS. A THREE-DIMENSIONAL ELASTICITY SOLUTION SATISFYING ALL THE EQUATIONS IS GIVEN AND THE RESULTING NUMERICAL RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH THOSE OF OTHER INVESTIGATORS.
