RUNOFF ANALYSIS BY ELECTRICAL CONDUCTANCE OF WATER
BY THE CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENT OF CONDUCTANCE AND DISCHARGE, THE SURFACE FLOW COMPONENT COULD BE FIRST SEPARATED FROM OTHER COMPONENTS IN THE RECESSION PHASE OF THE HYDROGRAPH. SECONDLY, THE CONDUCTANCE-TIME CURVE AND THE HYDROGRAPH WERE BOTH SIMULTANEOUSLY REPRODUCED BY A SERIES OF MODEL RESERVOIRS. DURING THIS PROCESS, THE PARAMETERS OF THE MODEL WERE ADJUSTED BY A TRIAL-AND-ERROR METHOD. THE CONDUCTANCE FACTOR USED IN THIS ANALYSIS MADE IT POSSIBLE TO ADJUST RATIONALLY SOME OF THE RUNOFF PARAMETERS. FURTHERMORE, VALUABLE INFORMATION ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THE SAMPLE BASIN WAS OBTAINED. /AUTHOR/
