COMPUTER-DETERMINED UNIT HYDROGRAPH FROM FLOODS
A COMPUTER PROGRAM USING MATRIX ALGEBRA TO DETERMINE THE BEST-FIT UNIT HYDROGRAPH FROM ONE OR SEVERAL COMPLEX FLOODS USING STATISTICAL CURVE FITTING TECHNIQUES IS DESCRIBED. THE PROGRAM EVALUATES THE POSSIBLE ERRORS IN ESTIMATED PRECIPITATION EXCESS WHICH PROVIDE A MEANS TO IMPROVE THE ESTIMATE OF PRECIPITATION EXCESS. FOUR YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN USING THE PROGRAM IS DRAWN ON TO EVALUATE ITS PRACTICAL USE. /ASCE/
