INFLUENCE SURFACES FOR MULTIBEAM BRIDGES
THE PROBLEM OF THE STATIC ANALYSIS OF SIMPLY SUPPORTED, FAN-SHAPED, MULTIBEAM BRIDGES IS REFORMULATED BY FOURIER'S SERIES METHOD FOR THE PURPOSE OF INTRODUCING CERTAIN NEW FEATURES. POISSON'S RATIO IS RETAINED AS A PROBLEM PARAMETER. A PROCEDURE IS DEVISED TO ACCELERATE THE CONVERGENCE OF BENDING MOMENTS IN BEAMS LOCATED DIRECTLY UNDER CONCENTRATED LOADS. A METHOD IS DEVELOPED FOR THE DETERMINATION OF INFLUENCE SURFACES FOR VARIOUS EFFECTS AT AT A SPECIFIED SECTION OF A SPECIFIED BEAM.
