COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR SELECTION AND DESIGN OF SIMPLE SPAN PRESTRESSED CONCRETE HIGHWAY GIRDERS
TO FACILITATE THE DESIGN AND OPTIMIZATION OF HIGHWAY BRIDGES, A COMPUTER PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED WHICH SELECTS STANDARD GIRDERS, WITH OR WITHOUT COMPOSITE DECKS. PROGRAM- PRODUCED DESIGN CHARTS FOR THE FEASIBLE RANGES OF SPANS AND GIRDER SPACINGS ARE PRESENTED. FROM THE CHARTS, REQUIRED PRESTRESSING FORCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMERICAN AND CANADIAN HIGHWAY SPECIFICATIONS CAN BE DETERMINED. /AUTHOR/
