DYNAMIC EFFECTS ON BRIDGE DECKS (FRENCH)
THE INCREASE IN THE SPEEDS OF RAILWAY TRAINS CONFRONTS RAILWAY ENGINEERS WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF PROBLEMS, AMONG WHICH IS THE BEHAVIOUR OF BRIDGE DECKS. THE AUTHOR APPROACHES THE PROBLEM FROM THE THEORETICAL ANGLE AND CONSIDERS THE EFFECT OF THE PRINCIPAL PARAMETERS CONCERNED. TREATMENT IN AN ELECTRONIC COMPUTER OF THE FORMULAE THAT HAVE BEEN WORKED OUT HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE TO PREPARE DIAGRAMS GIVING THE DYNAMIC COEFFICIENT IN RELATION TO THESE PARAMETERS. ON THIS BASIS, THE AUTHOR SUGGESTS A PRACTICAL METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE DYNAMIC COEFFICIENT IN RELATION TO THESE PARAMETERS.
