LONG REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS IN BIAXIAL BENDING
THE BEHAVIOUR OF LONG REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS IN BIAXIAL BENDING IS STUDIED. A METHOD IS FIRST DEVELOPED FOR DETERMINING THE DEFORMATIONS IN A RECTANGULAR REINFORCED CONCRETE SECTION SUBJECTED TO A BIAXIALLY ECCENTRIC FORCE. THE METHOD INVOLVES A LARGE NUMBER OF ELEMENTARY ARITHMETICAL CALCULATIONS AND HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR COMPUTER COMPUTATION. ON THE BASIS OF SEVERAL SIMPLIFYING ASSUMPTIONS, NOTABLY CONCERNING DEFLECTED SHAPE, A STUDY IS MADE OF THE BEHAVIOUR AND STRENGTH UNDER SHORT-TIME LOADINGS OF PIN-ENDED COLUMNS UNDER BIAXIALLY ECCENTRIC LOADING. /AUTHOR/
