FLEXURAL STRENGTH OF CORNERS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE PORTAL FRAMES
EIGHTEEN REINFORCED CONCRETE SPECIMENS REPRESENTING A RIGHT-ANGLE BEND OF A PORTAL FRAME WERE TESTED. THIRTEEN OF THE SPECIMENS WERE TESTED WITH THE BENDING MOMENT OPENING THE ANGLE AND THE REMAINING FIVE WERE TESTED WITH THE BENDING MOMENT CLOSING THE ANGLE. THE DETAILING ARRANGEMENTS WHICH WERE USED ARE COMPARED WITH REGARD TO STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY AND CRACKING. /RRL(A)/
