CONTINUOUS POST-TENSIONED TORSIONALLY STIFF CONCRETE BRIDGES
THE AUTHOR ESTABLISHES THAT CONTINOUS POST-TENSIONED TORSIONALLY STIFF CONCRETE BRIDGES ARE VERY SUITABLE FOR MULTILEVEL HIGHWAY INTERCHANGES, AND OTHER AREAS WHERE SPACE IS LIMITED. A CONCEPT OF TOTAL DESIGN IS RECOMMENDED WHICH LEADS TO A MORE COMPLETE UTILIZATION OF STRUCTURAL CAPACITY. METHODS ARE SUGGESTED WHICH FACILITATE THE DESIGN OF STRAIGHT OR CURVED TORSIONALLY STIFF STRUCTURES, WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON POST-TENSIONED CONCRETE BRIDGES. /RRL/
