ASEISMIC DESIGN OF REINFORCED CONCRETE CAISSONS FOR BRIDGE FOUNDATIONS
A METHOD IS PROPOSED FOR THE ASEISMIC DESIGN OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE CAISSON WHICH IS BASED ON THE NATURE OF THE SITE AND FOR A CAISSON EXCAVATED IN COHESIVE SOIL AND BASED ON A HARD LAYER GOVERNED BY THE ULTIMATE CONDITION OF THE STABILITY. FOR A CAISSON EXCAVATED IN SOFT GROUND THE EARTH PRESSURE ACTING ON THE CAISSON IS CONSIDERED AS A LOAD. /RRL/
