ULTIMATE STRENGTH OF CURVED I-GIRDER BRIDGES
THE SERIES OF DESIGN CHARTS AND EQUATIONS PERMIT PLASTIC OR LOAD FACTOR ANALYSES OF STRAIGHT GIRDERS TO BE READILY APPLIED TO THE DESIGNING OF CURVED GIRDERS. THE DESIGN TECHNIQUES ARE APPLICABLE TO SINGLE AND MULTI-SPAN GIRDERS. THE PLASTIC DESIGN OF CURVED GIRDERS GIVES UNIFORMITY TO THE GIRDER STRENGTH AND A SAVING IN MATERIAL.
