EXPERIMENTAL STUDY FOR OPTIMUM MIX DESIGN IN DRY MIX COARSE AGGREGATE SHORTCRETE (PART 2)
A STUDY WAS MADE OF THE FACTORS AFFECTING THE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND REBOUND OF SHOTCRETE USED FOR TUNNEL LININGS. THE FACTORS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WERE: SAND AGGREGATE RATIO, CEMENT CONTENT, SURFACE MOISTURE OF THE SAND, SAND GRADING, PERCENTAGE OF ACCELERATOR, AND WATER CONTENT. RESULTS SHOWED THAT THE MOST INFLUENTIAL FACTOR ON COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND REBOUND WAS SAND GRADING.
