VARIABLE AMPLITUDE FATIGUE STUDIES ON STEEL BEAMS
THE FATIGUE LIFE OF STEEL BEAMS WITH WELDED COVER PLATES IS PREDICTED BY A STRAIN ACCUMULATION DAMAGE THEORY. THE THEORY PERMITS APPLICATION OF RANDOM LOADS, THUS CONSIDERING LOAD ORDER. THE RESULTING EQUATIONS ARE APPLIED TO THE RESPONSE OF FIVE TYPICAL TRUCK TYPES ON A SIMPLE SPAN OF VARYING LENGTHS. /AUTHOR/
