THE THIN LAYER PAVEMENT ON BRIDGE DECKS
TRIAL APPLICATIONS OF SEVERAL THIN LAYER PAVEMENTS ARE REPORTED ON. FROM A SURVEY OF FIVE BRIDGES, IT IS CONCLUDED THAT RUBBERIZED ASPHALT MIXTURE AND TAR EPOXY MIXTURE ARE THE MOST SUITABLE FOR SURFACING STEEL BRIDGE DECKS AND CONCRETE SLABS. FURTHER TRIALS OF THESE TWO MIXTURES UNDER HEAVIER TRAFFIC ARE PROPOSED.
