A STUDY ON AUTOMATIC DESIGN SYSTEM FOR PC SIMPLE SUPPORTED BRIDGES /IN JAPANESE/
THIS PAPER PRESENTS AN OUTLINE OF AN AUTOMATIC DESIGN SYSTEM FOR POST-TENSIONING PRESTRESSED CONCRETE T-BEAM BRIDGES. AN ELECTRONIC COMPUTER IS USED TO ESTABLISH OPTIMUM STANDARD DESIGN. A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS ARE POINTED OUT: ECONOMICAL HEIGHT AND NUMBER OF BEAMS, OPTIMUM NUMBER OF CROSSBEAMS, AUTOMATIC CALCULATION METHOD FOR LOAD DESTRIBUTION COEFFICIENTS, CONTROLLING SIZE TOLERANCES, PRESTRESSING EFFECT FOR FLOOR SLABS, AND STRENGTH OF IN-SITU CONCRETE PARTS.
