FATIGUE TESTS OF HYBRID PLATE GIRDERS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS
THE RESULTS OF SIXTY-THREE HYBRID GIRDERS TESTED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, AUSTIN, ARE PRESENTED. THE GIRDERS WERE SUBJECTED TO THREE DIFFERENT FATIGUE LOADING CONDITIONS: (1) BENDING, (2) SHEAR, AND (3) COMBINED BENDING AND SHEAR. THE RESULTS OF EACH LOADING CONDITION ARE DISCUSSED IN SEPARATE SECTIONS OF THIS REPORT. THE FATIGUE TEST DATA WERE ANALYZED STATISTICALLY. BASED ON THE ANALYSES OF AVAILABLE DATA, THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE PARAMETERS WERE ESTABLISHED. THE CORRELATION STUDY OF STATISTICAL ANALYSES AIDED: (1) IN DISTINGUISHING THE SIGNIFICANT PARAMETERS TO CONSIDER, AND (2) IN RECOMMENDING THE LIMITING VALUES FOR THOSE PARAMETERS. /AUTHOR/
