CURVED GIRDER COMPUTER MANUAL

THREE COMPUTER PROGRAMS ARE PRESENTED BASED ON ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES OF THE SLOPE DEFLECTION FOURIER SERIES PREVIOUSLY DEVELOPED UNDER THIS HP&R STUDY. THE COBRA ORTHOTROPIC BRIDGE ANALYSIS) SLOP DEFLECTION COMPUTER PROGRAMS CAN BE USED TO ANALYZE A STATICALLY LOADED CURVED BRIDGE STRUCTURE. GIRDER DEFLECTIONS, ROTATIONS, AND INTERNAL FORCES ARE DETERMINED BY EACH OF THE THREE BASIC PROGRAMS. A STRESS OR STRAIN SUBROUTINE MAY BE INCLUDED TO COMPUTE STRESSES AND STRAINS THROUGHOUT THE STRUCTURE. COMPOSITE OR NONCOMPOSITE GIRDER-SLAB ACTION MAY BE SPECIFIED. ANY NUMBER OF CONCENTRATED LOADS MAY BE APPLIED, REFERENCED TO ANY RADIUS AND ANGLE OF THE BRIDGE COORDINATES. A UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED LOAD MAY BE SUPERIMPOSED OVER THE CONCENTRATED LOADING IF DESIRED. /BPR/
