DEFORMATION AND FAILURE OF HARDENED CEMENT PASTE AND CONCRETE UNDER SUSTAINED LOAD /IN RUSIAN/
IN A PREVIOUS PAPER SHORT-TERM LOADING (COMPRESSION) WAS CONSIDERED, WHEREAS THE PRESENT ONE DELAS WITH LONG-TERM UNIAXIAL COMPRESSION AND TENSION. SOLUTIONS OF PROBLEMS OF CRACK PROPAGATION IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD OF PORES ARE GIVEN. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE TIME TO FAILURE UNDER SUSTAINED LOAD CAN BE DETERMINED, IF THE TIME DEPENDENCE OF CREEP CHARACTERISTICS, ELASTIC MODULUS, AND SHORT-TIME STRENGTH ARE KNOWN. THEORETICAL PREDICTIONS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH EXISTING EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS. /CCR/
