THE USE OF PAPER FOR CURING CONCRETE PAVEMENTS

A REVIEW IS PRESENTED OF DATA RELATING TO THE USE OF SPECIALLY PREPARED PAPER AS A CURING MEDIUM, OBTAINED FROM PAVEMENT CONSTRUCTION IN MISSOURI, MINNESOTA AND IOWA AND FROM LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS. THE EXPERIENCE THUS FAR INDICATES THAT WITHIN CERTAIN LIMITS AS TO NUMBER OF REPETITIONS OF USE, THE PAPER WILL SERVE TO RETAIN THE MOISTURE IN THE CONCRETE AND THE CONCRETE WILL ATTAIN STRENGTH THAT COMPARES FAVORABLY WITH THAT FROM OTHER CURING METHODS IN COMMON USE. /AUTHOR/
