OUTDOOR CONCRETE EXPOSURE TEST PLOT AT SKOKIE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE SKOKIE (ILLINOIS) OUTDOOR EXPOSURE TEST PLOT IS DESCRIBED. CONCRETE SLABS-ON-GRADE, SLABS ELEVATED ABOVE THE GROUND, AND CONCRETE BOXES WERE CAST IN ORDER TO STUDY THE EFFECTS OF WEATHERING UPON DIFFERENT CONCRETES. VARIABLES CURRENTLY BEING INVESTIGATED INCLUDE: CURING, CEMENTS, POZZOLANS, AGGREGATES, CHEMICAL ADMIXTURES, DEICERS, AND CONCRETE SURFACE TREATMENT. FUTURE REPORTS WILL EVALUATE TEST RESULTS. /PCA/
