THE STOICHIOMETRY OF THE HYDRATION OF TRICALCIUM SILICATE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE: I-HYDRATION IN A BALL MILL; II-HYDRATION IN A PASTE FORM
WHEN TRICALCIUM SILICATE, IS HYDRATED IN A BALL MILL, THE STOICHIOMETRY OF THE REACTION AT 23 C IS REPRESENTED BY A GIVEN EQUATION. THE CALCIUM SILICATE HYDRATE PRODUCED WAS AFWILLITE. THE STOICHIOMETERY OF THE HYDRATION OF TRICALCIUM SILICATE IN THE FORM OF HARDENED PASTE AT 23 C MAY BE REPRESENTED BY AN EQUATION. THE CALCIUM SILICATE HYDRATE PRODUCED WAS SIMILAR TO THE NATURAL MINERAL TOBERMORITE. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THE PRODUCTS WERE MEASURED. /PCA/
