SELF-DESICCATION IN PORTLAND CEMENT PASTES
THE RATES OF HYDRATION OF CEMENT PASTES CURED IN SEALED VIALS ARE COMPARED WITH THOSE OF CEMENT PASTES CONTINUOUSLY MOIST CURED. FOR WATER CEMENT RATIOS GREATER THAN ABOUT 0.5, BY WEIGHT, THE RATE IN SEALED PASTES WAS PRACTICALLY THE SAME AS FOR MOIST CURED PASTES AT AGES UP TO ONE YEAR AL- THOUGH RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF SEALED PASTES DECREASED MONO- TONICALLY WITH AGE. /PCA/
