THE DISCUSSION CENTERS AROUND THE MECHANISM OF FROST DAMAGE IN LEAN CONCRETE, POSSIBILITY OF FORMATION OF ICE LENSES IN CONCRETE, CROSS-SECTION OVER WHICH THE PORE WATER ACTS, AND FREEZING IN VOIDS BETWEEN CEMENT PASTE AND AGGREGATE. SOME ATTENTION IS ALSO GIVEN TO THE EFFECTS OF DEGREE OF CEMENT HYDRATION, AND TO THE CONSISTENCY OF VARIOUS MEASURES OF FROST DAMAGE IN LABORATORY CONCRETE SPECIMENS. /PCA/
