ON THE PROPERTIES OF CEMENT PASTES AND MORTARS OF VERY LOW POROSITY
IN THIS ARTICLE SOME OBSERVATIONS RELATING TO PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF CEMENT PASTES AND MORTARS OF VERY LOW POROSITY, WHICH WERE PRODUCED BY MEANS OF HIGH-PRESSURE PRESSES, ARE REPORTED. A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH, THE WATER/CEMENT RATIO AND THE PRESSURE APPLIED IS ESTABLISHED. THE RESULTS WERE OBTAINED FROM MEASUREMENTS OF THE MODULI OF ELASTICITY, THE TRANSVERSE TENSILE STRENGTH, THE DENSITY, THE VOLUME STABILITY, AND THE QUANTITY OF COMBINED WATER. THE RESULTS COMPARED WITH THOSE REPORTED BY OTHER AUTHORS. /AUTHOR/
