THE MECHANISM OF TENSILE CREEP IN CONCRETE
THE TENSILE CREEP BEHAVIOR OF CONCRETE CANNOT BE EXPLAINED FULLY IN TERMS OF THE SEEPAGE HYPOTHESIS OF CREEP. ACCORDINGLY A MECHANISM OF CREEP BASED UPON SEEPAGE BUT MODIFIED BY TIME-DEPENDENT MICROCRACKING IS PROPOSED. THIS MECHANISM CAN PROVIDE AN EXPLANATION FOR THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AVAILABLE. /A/RRL/
