RELATION BETWEEN THE GRADING AND STRENGTH OF PORTLAND CEMENT /IN GERMAN/

AFTER REVIEWING THE VARIOUS METHODS OF EVALUATING THE FINENESS OF GRINDING OF PORTLAND CEMENT CLINKERS (MATERIAL RETAINED ON A TEST SIEVE - SPECIFIC SURFACE-GRADING MEASUREMENTS), THE OPINION IS EXPRESSED THAT, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE FACT THAT STRENGTH DEPENDS ON THE PROPORTION OF HYDRATED INGREDIENTS, THE GRADING INVESTIGATION IS THE BEST TECHNIQUE. TEST PROCEDURES ARE DESCRIBED. RESULTS SHOW THAT THE HIGHEST STRENGTH VALUES ARE OBTAINED FOR THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES OF GRAINS: 5-30 MU AND 10-30 MU. STUDIES HAVE ALSO BEEN CONDUCTED BASED ON THE SPECIFIC SURFACE AND QUANTITY OF HYDRATED PARTS. /LCPC/RRL/
