RELATION BETWEEN THE PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION AND STRENGTH OF PORTLAND CEMENT /IN GERMAN/
AN ATTEMPT IS MADE TO FIND A RELATION BETWEEN THE STRENGTH AND FINENESS OF CEMENT. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF STRENGTH TESTS ON THREE CEMENTS OF DIFFERENT ORIGIN. CEMENTS WERE CLASSIFIED INTO GRADING CATEGORIES. TEST RESULTS SHOW THAT A LINEAR RELATION EXISTS BETWEEN THE STRENGTH OF CEMENT AND THE QUANTITY OF HYDRATED CEMENT; THIS QUANTITY IS CALCULATED FROM THE PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION USING ALREADY PUBLISHED DATA ON THE DEPTH OF HYDRATION. /LCPC(A)/RRL/
