PROPOSAL FOR THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ON THE "ADMIXTURES FOR CONCRETE" ELABORATED FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL FOR MUTUAL ECONOMICAL AID
AS IN THE CASE OF OTHER CONSTITUENTS AND PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE, IT SEEMS TO BE NECESSARY TO ELABORATE A STANDARD OF INTERNATIONAL VALIDITY RELATING TO CONCRETE ADMIXTURES WHICH COULD PERMIT A UNIFORM CLASSIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF THE ADMIXTURES. THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE STANDARD PROPOSAL CONCERNING THE "ADMIXTURES FOR CONCRETE" ELABORATED IN ESSENCE FOR THE COUNTRIES OF THE COUNCIL FOR MUTUAL ECONOMICAL AID. THE PROPOSAL CONSISTS OF TWO VARIANTS. THE FIRST ONE HAS THE CHARACTER OF A GENERAL PROPOSAL; THE SECOND, THESE GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS (GENERAL STANDARDS) ARE ESTABLISHED FOR FOUR TYPES OF ADMIXTURES, I.E. ADMIXTURES WHICH ACCELERATE HARDENING, AND THOSE CONTAINING PLASTIFYING, AIR-ENTRAINING AND SEALING AGENTS. /RRL/
