THREE YEARS OF B.E.T. SPECIFIC SURFACE MEASUREMENTS AT THE L.C.P.C. /IN FRENCH/

A BRIEF REVIEW IS PRESENTED OF THE PLACE OF ADSORPTION AMONG METHODS OF MEASURING SPECIFIC SURFACE, AND AN ACCOUNT IS GIVEN OF SOME THEORETICAL NOTIONS CONCERNING THE BRUNAUER, EMMET, AND TELLER METHOD. THE EXPERIMENTAL WORK IS DESCRIBED, AND EMPHASIS IS LAID ON THE FIELD OF APPLICATION OF EACH INSTRUMENT. THE RESULTS OBTAINED USING NITROGEN AND ARGON ADSORPTION IN SUCH VARIED FIELDS AS SOILS, BLAST FURNACE SLAG, CEMENT, FILLER, AND COMPACT ROCKS ARE COMMENTED UPON, AND THE AUTHOR STRESSES THE INTEREST WHICH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SIMPLIFIED TECHNIQUE IN EACH OF THESE CASES WOULD PRESENT. /LCPC/A/RRL/
