THE COMPLETE STRESS-STRAIN CURVE FOR CONCRETE IN DIRECT TENSION
A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE WHICH HAS BEEN USED TO DERIVE COMPLETE STRESS-STRAIN CURVES FOR CONCRETE IN DIRECT TENSION IS DESCRIBED. THE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT IN A STANDARD UNIVERSAL MACHINE INCORPORATING AN ADDITIONAL STIFFENING MEMBER. THE BONDING OF THE SURFACES WITH MODERN ADHESIVES IS DESCRIBED, AND THE TESTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF TESTING, RESULTS AND EFFECT OF ECCENTRICITY IS GIVEN. /RRL/
