PERMEABILITY OF ASPHALTIC CONCRETE /IN RUSSIAN/
RESULTS ARE PRESENTED OF STUDIES OF THE PERMEABILITY OF ASPHALTIC CONCRETE TOGETHER WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE TEST METHOD USED. FINDINGS SHOW THAT THE COEFFICIENT OF PERMEABILITY VARIES AS A FUNCTION OF THE PERCENTAGE OF RESIDUAL VOIDS IN THE MATERIAL. A STUDY WAS ALSO MADE OF THE INFLUENCE OF ACTIVATED FILLERS ON THE PERMEABILITY OF ASPHALTIC CONCRETE. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF THE EQUIPMENT USED IN PERMEABILITY TESTS ON ASPHALTIC CONCRETE SAMPLES TOGETHER WITH THE FORMULA FOR CALCULATING THE COEFFICIENT OF PERMEABILITY FROM DARCY LAW. /LCPC/RRL/
