INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE INFLUENCE OF THE PROPERTIES OF CONSTITUENT GROUPS ON THE QUALITY OF BITUMEN /IN GERMAN/
OILS AND RESINS MADE FROM PARAFFIN-CONTAINING BITUMEN HAVE WORSE PROPERTIES THAN THOSE MADE WITH BITUMEN FREE OF PARAFFIN. VISCOSITY IS A VERY CHARACTERISTIC FEATURE REGARDING THE ORIGIN OF THE BITUMEN. REMOVAL OF THE PARAFFIN FROM THE RESINS DOES NOT HOWEVER IMPROVE THEIR VISCOSITY, BUT MERELY ALTERS THEIR PROPERTIES ASPHALTIC AND AROMATIC FEATURES ARE ALSO CHARACTERISTIC OF THE BITUMEN ORIGIN. /FG/RRL/
