RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHEMICAL STRUCTURES AND WEATHERABILITY OF COATING ASPHALTS AS SHOWN BY INFRARED ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY
THE USE OF INFRARED ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY IS DESCRIBED FOR DETERMINING THE CHEMICAL STRUCTURE INFLUENCING THE AGING OF BITUMEN. ONE HUNDRED BITUMENS WERE STUDIED AND SUBJECTED TO AGING TESTS WITH THE "WEATHER-OMETER" ACCORDING TO THE ASTM SPECIFICATION. RESULTS OF THE TESTS ARE GIVEN IN DETAIL. /LCPC/RRL/
