TESTING CORRUGATED CORNER PADS
For optimum performance of cushioned packages with multilayer corrugated corner pads, the boxes used must be capable of an appreciable amount of energy-dissipating distortion under the anticipated edgewise and cornerwise impact loads. Disadvantages of too-rigid boxes for these cushioned packages was shown. New tests show that corrugated fiberboard is an efficient package cushioning material whose performance in cushion packages may be easily and economically predicted.
