DURABILITY OF ASPHALT IN HOT MIXED ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT
THIS INVESTIGATION WAS INTENDED TO DETERMINE BY CONTROLLED FIELD AND LABORATORY TESTS THE EFFECT OF VARYING THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ON THE RAPIDITY AND EXTENT OF ASPHALT HARDENING: GRADE OF ASPHALT, ASPHALT CONTENT, FILLER CONTENT, MIXING TEMPERATURE AND MIXING TIME. ALSO THE RATE AND EXTENT OF ASPHALT HARDENING WAS DETERMINED IN THE CUTBACK ASPHALT WEARING SURFACE.
