OBSERVATION OF THE EN1 SECTION BETWEEN MEIRINHAS AND POMBAL (1ST REPORT) /IN PORTUGUESE/
THE AIM WAS TO EVALUATE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROAD SECTION BEFORE STRENGTHENING. AFTER DESCRIBING THE COMPOSITION OF THE EXISTING PAVEMENT DETERMINED BY MEANS OF BOREHOLES, THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THE TIRE TESTS (ABOUT 200), CROSS-SECTION SURVEYS USING PROFILOMETERS, OBSERVATIONS OF THE CRACKING OF THE EXISTING PAVEMENT, ETC, TOGETHER WITH THE RESULTS OBTAINED. AN ANALYSIS IS MADE OF THE STATE OF THE PAVEMENT BASED ON OBSERVATION RESULTS, AND THE INFLUENCE OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN OBSERVATION POINTS OVER THE DISTRIBUTION OF REBOUND DEFLECTIONS IS DISCUSSED. /LNEC/TRRL/
