USE OF CERTAIN DERIVATIVES OF 1,9-ANTHRAPYRIDONE AS LUMINESCENT COMPONENTS OF DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENT PAINTS

New bright daylight fluorescent paints of yellow, orange-red, and green colors have been obtained with use of 1,9-anthrapyridone derivatives as luminescent components. Color characteristics of fluorescent paints prepared with the pigments investigated are compared with those of ordinary nonfluorescent paints. Both the brightness factor and the purity of the green fluorescent paint are sharply greater than those of the green reflecting paint.
