TEST ON ROLLED-BEAM BRIDGE USING H20-S16 LOADING
THE GENERAL PURPOSE WAS TO OBTAIN STRESS AND DEFLECTION DATA WHICH COULD BE CORRELATED WITH THEORETICAL VALUES TO ACCOMPLISH EFFICIENCY AND ECONOMY IN THE DESIGN OF HIGHWAY BRIDGES. THE INFORMATION WILL ALSO BE USED IN A STUDY OF THE LIVE-LOAD-CARRYING CAPACITY OF EXISTING HIGHWAY STRUCTURES UNDER LOADS IMPOSED UPON THEM BY HEAVY, MOTOR-TRANSPORT UNITS. /AUTHOR/
